Player Plots

In Oridenia, we believe in empowering our players, which is why we have made the decision to enable them to create their own global plots. These plots are custom-made stories that typically involve four or more players, are open for anyone to join, and have a significant impact on the overall game experience compared to local or private plots.

Rules & Guidelines

We allow a wide range of themes for plots, however, some plots will require permission before moving forward. Some themes include, but are not limited to the following:
- Starting a civil war or rebellion
- Assassinations of tribe leaders, or political figures.
- Taking over a tribe, this requires permission and a take-over token.
It's important to ensure that the plots you create are realistic and adhere to the existing rules of our universe. While Oridenia features numerous fantastical creatures and themes, it does not incorporate any type of magic or elemental abilities. Therefore, plots that include such elements will not be accepted.
During your plot, please refrain from god modding other players. It's important to keep your plot open to unexpected events, but remember not to coerce other players into actions that they're not comfortable with. All participants should be given the freedom to develop their characters and respond to the plot's events as they see fit.
To facilitate the approval process, we kindly request that you present all details of your plot on a Google doc or a similar platform. This will enable us to review and edit your proposal with ease.
Players are solely responsible for promoting and sustaining their plot. No refunds will be issued for plots that do not succeed.
In order to start your own plot, you must use a character that is at least Level 3 and that has one Plot Influencer Token.

Plot Submission

Before you can begin your plot, it must be approved by the staff team. To submit your plot for approval, contact staff on our #help-me Discord channel, and a staff member will get to you ASAP.

Tips & Suggestions

Below you will find some tips and suggestions when it comes to writing a plot:

Start with a clear goal/objective: What do you want to accomplish with this plot?
Develop a conflict: Introduce a conflict that the characters must overcome in order for the plot to progress.
Create a Timeline: Establish a timeline for the plot and use it to provide structure and pacing.
Keep the plot flexible: Allow the plot to evolve and change based on the decisions and actions of the characters.
Make sure the plot is engaging: Incorporate interesting and exciting elements that will keep the players engaged.
End the plot with a resolution: Provide a satisfying conclusion to the plot that resolves the conflict and accomplishes the goal.

These points can help you outline and refine your plot, and staff members will be looking for these elements when reviewing your plot. Following the points can also help ensure the success of your plot!
