The dominant variation (Cl) allows splitting or branching in the stripes. The recessive variant (cl) only allows for solid striping, no branching.

The stripes must always be light in color, or near white. The border must always be dark or near black.

This marking allows for a maximum of 3 stripes.

Clown stripes must always be thick and vertical.

This marking must always be a solid chunk of color, it does not allow holes, breaks, or stripes.
